SAVE THE DATE: the confirmed WorldSBK 2022 team launch dates!

With the start of the season just around the corner, teams are preparing to show off their 2022 colours in style.

The start of the 2022 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is getting closer and with it comes ‘launch season’ as teams look to show off their colours for the upcoming campaign. Three factory teams have confirmed when their launches will be and all the dates for confirmed team unveilings can be found in the article below.

Team HRC were the first to show off their colours on the CBR1000RR-R for the 2022 campaign with riders Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge. The launch took place on February 15th at 10:00 CET (GMT+1) in virtual form, with the livery similar to those of the last two years. You can take a look here.

Independent Ducati outfit Team GoEleven will have their official launch on March 13th as they prepare for the 2022 season. With a new rider in the shape of Philipp Oettl joining the team for this season, the team will show off their colours for 2022 on the team’s YouTube channel.

Much-anticipated and with a slightly fresh feel, the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team will be the next team to show off their livery. The iconic colours will be revealed to the world on March 15th, just before the team take to the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” for two days of testing. It will take place at 2pm CET (GMT +1). Alvaro Bautista returns to the team, alongside Michael Ruben Rinaldi.

On the same day as the factory Ducati squad launch, Barni Spark Racing Team will unveil their colours for the 2022 campaign for all five riders they have in WorldSBK, WorldSSP and domestic Italian championships. The launch will be shown on the team’s social channels from 11am CET (GMT+1) featuring WorldSBK rookie Luca Bernardi and WorldSSP’s Oli Bayliss.

At the team’s home venue of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK will unveil the ZX-10RR machine colours on March 23rd. Six-time Champion Jonathan Rea will once again line up for KRT as he looks to reclaim the title, with Alex Lowes returning for a third campaign with the squad.

The #1 plate on the Yamaha YZF-R1 of Toprak Razgatlioglu and the Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK squad will get its debut ahead of testing in Barcelona, with the two-day test on March 25th. Razgatlioglu will be joined by teammate Andrea Locatelli as the Italian heads into his second WorldSBK campaign. At the same event, the GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team with riders Garrett Gerloff and Kohta Nozane will unveil their colours for the 2022 season.
